Sangita Lakhanpal takes us on a compelling musical journey influenced by her Indian heritage and the wild landscapes of the British Isles, place of her birth. Presenting extracts from her new Arts Council funded musical “Mahavidya”: The 10 Great Wisdom Goddesses,” expect a blend of mantra singing, romantic poetry, and electronic music; a sound tapestry which she offers up in devotion to the Great Mother.

About Sangita

Sangita Lakhanpal is a British born artist rooted in the spiritual wisdoms of her Indian heritage. Her work pulses with a voice that is urgent, sensuous, and awakened to these times.

For over two decades she has dedicated her life to embodying and sharing the teachings of Tantric Yoga, after working in Human Rights Law. In recent years her practice has developed into the musical telling of Vedic myths designed to transport the audience into the ecstatically spiritual, in a way that is sensually embodied. She has created two albums “The Durga Opera” and “Mahavidya”.
